European Single-Girder Wire Rope Hoist

European Single-Girder Wire Rope Hoist

A compact, low-headroom lifting unit engineered for single-girder overhead cranes and monorail systems. Its modular arrangement helps maximize available hook height, supports smooth load positioning, and simplifies routine inspection and maintenance.

Compact Lifting for Space-Conscious Facilities

The hoist is arranged to keep the hook approach and headroom requirement to a minimum. This makes it well suited to new cranes as well as modernization projects where the building height or available lifting envelope is limited.

  • Rated capacity range: 1–20 metric tons
  • Standard lifting heights: 6, 9, 12, or 18 m
  • FEM duty classifications from 1Am to 4M
  • ISO duty classifications from M3 to M7
  • Variable trolley travel range: 5–20 m/min

Key Design Features

Low-Headroom Geometry

The offset trolley layout places the drum and drive close to the runway beam, increasing usable hook height without raising the crane structure.

Integrated Drive Package

The motor, gearbox, and brake form a compact drive unit for efficient power transmission, controlled stopping, and reduced installation space.

Smooth Load Handling

Two-speed lifting is standard on many configurations, while variable-frequency control can be specified for stepless acceleration and precise positioning.

Durable Rope System

A high-strength wire rope, accurately machined drum, and engineered rope guide promote orderly reeving and help reduce rope wear.

Adjustable Safety Limits

Multi-stage upper and lower travel limiting helps prevent over-travel. Overload protection and additional monitoring options can be configured to suit the application.

Modular Service Access

Standardized assemblies and accessible electrical connections shorten inspection time and make replacement of service components more straightforward.

Drive, Brake, and Control System

The lifting drive is designed for dependable starts and controlled braking. A wear-resistant brake lining and high-grade insulation support frequent industrial duty. Trolley travel can be controlled through a VFD to reduce load swing and mechanical shock.

Available controls include pendant station, radio remote control, or integration into the crane control system. Electrical brands, enclosure protection, supply voltage, and control voltage can be selected for the destination market and operating environment.

Typical Applications

  • Manufacturing and assembly workshops
  • Machinery maintenance and equipment service bays
  • Warehouses and material distribution facilities
  • Steel fabrication and component handling
  • Single-girder bridge cranes and fixed monorails
