European Double-Girder Wire Rope Hoist Trolley

European Double-Girder Wire Rope Hoist Trolley

A top-running, low-profile hoist trolley developed for double-girder overhead and gantry cranes. The modular trolley combines high lifting capacity, stable wheel loading, controlled motion, and efficient use of the space above the crane runway.

Heavy-Duty Capacity in a Compact Trolley

The hoisting mechanism is mounted on a rigid top-running trolley frame for stable travel across two bridge girders. Its compact vertical arrangement reduces the distance between the hook and the rail level, helping improve available lifting height and storage clearance.

  • Rated capacity range: 2–80 metric tons
  • Standard lifting heights: 6, 9, 12, or 18 m
  • FEM duty classifications from 1Am to 3M
  • ISO duty classifications from M4 to M6
  • Variable trolley travel range: 5–20 m/min

Key Design Features

Top-Running Trolley

A wide wheelbase and two-rail support provide stable cross travel and distribute the operating load across both bridge girders.

Optimized Headroom

The low-profile drum, drive, and sheave layout minimizes the vertical space occupied above the hook and increases usable lifting height.

Controlled Motion

Two-speed or variable-frequency lifting and trolley travel support gentle acceleration, accurate positioning, and reduced load swing.

Integrated Hoist Drive

The motor, precision gearbox, and electromagnetic brake are engineered as a coordinated package for efficient transmission and dependable holding.

Engineered Rope Reeving

High-strength wire rope, a machined drum, and matched sheave arrangement provide consistent reeving for medium- and high-capacity lifting.

Configurable Protection

Upper and lower limits, overload protection, emergency stop, motor thermal protection, and additional monitoring functions are available to suit project requirements.

Modular Construction and Serviceability

Standardized drive, drum, wheel, and control assemblies simplify production, installation, and spare-parts planning. Major components are arranged for practical access during inspection, helping reduce routine service time.

The trolley gauge and wheel arrangement can be matched to the crane girder spacing and rail system. Electrical enclosures, motor protection, insulation class, and ambient-temperature design can be adapted for indoor or outdoor service.

Designed Around the Crane Application

  • Double-girder overhead travelling cranes
  • Double-girder gantry and semi-gantry cranes
  • Steel fabrication and heavy machinery assembly
  • Maintenance bays, warehouses, and production lines
  • Applications requiring higher capacity or duty than a single-girder arrangement
