Closed-Loop Position and Tension Capability

A 112 kW servo drive, planetary reducer and absolute encoder create a platform for high-speed motion with repeatable position feedback. The single-layer drum keeps the effective winding radius comparatively stable. A hydraulic drum brake adds an independent holding element when specified as part of the complete control architecture.

Control and Safety Requirements

Constant torque and constant line tension are not interchangeable: tension regulation requires a calibrated load sensor and a closed control loop. At the published speed and capacity, the installation needs engineered guarding, overspeed protection, redundant limits, brake monitoring, emergency stopping and verified anchorage. Not for personnel lifting unless separately certified.
