Engineering Note
100 kN is approximately 10.2 metric tonnes-force, not 100 tonnes. Published “lifting capacity” must be confirmed as rated line pull at a stated drum layer. Manual feasibility, brake capacity, rope factor of safety and structural anchorage require project verification.
Final selection must define line pull by drum layer, rope specification, duty cycle, brake holding load, anchorage, corrosion system, guarding and applicable marine or local standards. Not intended for personnel lifting unless separately engineered and certified.
